Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this.

People were supported to have equity in their experience. We found there was an open culture where changes and improvements were embraced to ensure high quality care was given to people. We found improvements and changes were effectively communicated to staff to make sure people’s outcomes were met. We found people’s protected characteristic were reflected in their care plans and staff had a good understanding of people’s protected characteristics and cultural needs. Staff were trained in equality and diversity. One member of staff told us, “I have done equality and diversity training. I have a good knowledge of this.”
