Date of Assessment: 7 January 2025. The service is a residential care home, providing support to older people, some of whom were living with dementia. At the time of our inspection 36 people were using the service. Some improvements were required to ensure the service operated safe infection, prevention and control (IPC) practices. We also found some improvements were required to ensure information relating to managing peoples choking risks were updated, this was highlighted at the time of our inspection and action was taken to rectify this concern. People were safeguarded from the risk of abuse and unsafe harm. People had detailed, individualised care plans and risk assessments in place. Medicines were mostly managed safely. People were supported by enough suitably qualified staff, who met peoples needs and treated them well. People were offered choices, including what they would like to eat and when they would like personal care. The service was well led. Staff felt supported in their roles and told us the team worked effectively together. Quality assurance systems were in place to ensure people received safe, high quality care.
