Outstanding

Assessment period: 26 September 2024 to 20 November 2024. We assessed a number of quality statements from the safe, effective, caring , responsive and well-led key questions The service was rated outstanding overall. For safe the overall rating was good. We rated six evidence categories as good. We saw that the provider consistently ensured there was safe care and treatment. We rated ‘monitoring and improving outcomes’ for effective and rated this as good. The scores based on the key question ratings from the last inspection mean the service has retained its outstanding rating for this key questions. For caring we looked at kindness, compassion and dignity’ and ‘workforce wellbeing and enablement’, which we rated as outstanding and good respectively. The service consistently received positive feedback from both patients and other staff from providers the service worked with. Caring was rated as outstanding overall. For responsive, we rated ‘care provision, integration and continuity’ as good. Responsive was rated outstanding overall which was based on the key question ratings from the last inspection in 2016. We rated four evidence categories under well-led, 2 of which were rated outstanding and 2 of which were rated good. We observed the service engaged with other partners and local community groups to help drive and share good practice in end of life care. Well-led was rated outstanding overall.

People's experience of the service

People using services and their family members were all positive about the staff treating them with warmth and kindness and providing safe care and treatment. People using services and family members said they felt supported and staff provided individualised care. Family members said they felt safe to raise concerns and that these would be addressed.
