Caring
During our assessment of this key question, we found the rating has remained good. People were supported by staff who were kind and caring. Feedback indicated people were treated with kindness and respect.

Independence, choice and control
We received good feedback in relation to independence choice and control. One comment included , [staff] “Absolutely fantastic is all I can say, so friendly and helpful. It is like a hotel. Only the best is good for my mum. They respect choices and wishes.”
Staff and leaders told us they promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care and treatment and wellbeing.
Comments included , “We ask people questions, promote independence as much as possible and maintain their dignity, ” and “We don’t overstep people’s personal choice.”
During our assessment inspectors observed people were able to make everyday decisions about their care and support. A lot of positive interactions between staff and people were observed.
Care plans were mainly person-centered ensuring independence, choice and control was embedded.
