Updated 19 March 2024
We completed the onsite assessment on 25 March 2024 and concluded the offsite collection of evidence by 1 April 2024. Kings Lodge Nursing Home is a care home providing personal and nursing care to people who may be living with dementia. We assessed a variety of quality statements under the key questions of Safe and Well Led. Systems were in place to ensure people remained safe whilst promoting their independence. Risks to people had been assessed and measures put in place with guidance for staff to mitigate the risk of harm. There were enough suitably qualified staff to meet people’s needs. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice. Staff had built positive relationships with people living in the service. Care plans included clear guidance to staff on how to support people in the way they wanted. There were systems in place to monitor the quality and safety of the service. Improvements have been made since the last inspection. The overall rating for the service is now good.
