During a routine inspection
On entering the supported living complex we found the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We observed staff respecting people's wishes whilst understanding the care and support needed. We were invited to see people's rooms and saw that they catered towards their individual needs with their rooms decorated with their personal belongings.
We looked at people's individual files both within their office and the supported living complex and noted that they incorporated their care plans, risk assessments and health care needs. We found that they encompassed the safety and well-being of people who used the service. Staff and people who used the service knew how to raise a concern or complaint and felt confident in doing.
We reviewed all records held which ensured that people who used the service could be confident that their personal records which encompassed their care, treatment and support were properly managed.
We looked at the management of medicines and the quality of the service and noted that the provider ensured that the care, welfare and feedback from people who used the service were clearly identified and maintained.
