During an assessment under our new approach

A2Z Homecare Services Limited is a domiciliary care agency providing care to older people, those living with dementia, learning disability or autistic spectrum disorder, mental health physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At the time of our inspection the service was not providing personal care support to anyone with a learning disability or autism. We completed this assessment between 22 October and 11 December 2024. This was a comprehensive assessment covering all key questions and quality statements. The service had enough staff with appropriate training. The recruitment policy had not always been followed to ensure safe recruitment. People were supported with their medicines as prescribed. There were systems and processes to safeguard people from the risk of abuse. People’s care plans and risk assessments contained some inconsistencies but included personalised information for staff to meet their individual needs. Staff provided dignified care and understood people’s communication needs. There was a positive culture within the service with staff feeling well supported by their manager and colleagues. There were systems and processes to monitor the quality of the service, and the registered manager was responsive to feedback where improvements were required.
