Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The following conditions are imposed by Consent Order:
a) The registered provider must not admit any new service users to Elmcroft Care Home without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes service users returning from hospital or any respite admissions.
b) The registered provider must produce and implement an ongoing service improvement and development plan. This must be sent to the Commission on the last day of the first full month following the date on which this condition comes into effect, and an updated version of the plan must be submitted on the last day of each month going forward. The plan must demonstrate how the registered provider is ensuring sustained improvement in the following areas:
i. How the service will improve the ways in which services provided are specifically tailored to the needs of individual service users as opposed to the service user group in general. This must include information on how the service will monitor and evaluate the impact of the measures taken to improve the person-centred nature of care provided;
ii. How the service will learn from incidents, including safeguarding incidents, and embed lessons learned in order to ensure that the risk of reoccurrence of safeguarding concerns is sufficiently mitigated;
iii. How the service will ensure adequate oversight of the service, particularly in relation to the roles and responsibilities as shared among the senior leadership team.
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 54 service users at Elmcroft Care Home.
