52a River Drive is a residential care home that provides care and support for people with a learning disability and autistic people. We completed the assessment between 4 February 2025 and 10 February 2025. We assessed quality statements in Safe, Effective, Caring and Responsive and found areas of good practice. We found end of life care plans were not in place, however the manager had a plan to address this. People were protected from the risk of harm and abuse; people’s health risks were well managed, and staff had the skills and competence to support people safely. People’s needs were assessed, and their consent and choice were always considered. Staff supported people to be independent. Staff were responsive to people’s needs. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. The provider was working within the principles of the Rights support, right care, right culture guidance.
