During a routine inspection
We were told that staff gave people a choice and were flexible. One person said: 'I have complete trust in the staff they allocated to my relative...I can go to work in peace."
Another person told us: "The staff are very respectful and very caring. It's difficult because I'm an independent person but they've made it easy for me- we have a terrific rapport."
We found there were effective systems in place to ensure people were involved in planning their care and support. Action was taken to make sure assessments and care plans were up to date and continued to meet people's needs.
Procedures, guidelines and training was provided to staff to promote the safe management of medication.
We found that a robust recruitment and selection process was used which meant the employment of suitable staff was promoted.
Complaints handling systems were in place and effective.
