The dates of inspection were from 24 February 2025 to 19 March 2025, and we visited the home on 24 February 2025 and 4 and 11 March 2025. Holly Park Care Home is a residential care home providing support for older people and people living with dementia. The provider had made improvements since our last assessment. The overall rating at this assessment is good.
Governance processes had improved but we identified some areas required further work to ensure they were strengthened and consistently identified and acted on any shortfalls. Risks to people’s health, safety and welfare were assessed. Whilst we found some inconsistencies in record keeping the registered manager was working closely with people, staff and relatives to make the necessary improvements. Medicines were managed safely and people’s health needs were met. Where people’s care and support required monitoring effective systems were in place. There were enough staff to support people safely, and they had the training and supervision to be able to carry out their role. We found some shortfalls in the environment, but the provider had commenced work on a comprehensive refurbishment plan. The registered manager demonstrated strong and effective leadership and had the trust and support of the staff team. They were responsive to the assessment findings and provided assurances they would make the required changes to improve the quality and safety of care.
