Our view of the service

We carried out this announced on-site assessment on 6 December 2024.

We found the practice had met regulations.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.

Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place.

The practice had systems to manage risks. Some improvements were needed to these systems.

Impress London is part of Smile2Impress Clinics Limited, a dental group provider. The practice is in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and provides private aligner and associated dental care and treatment for adults.

There was step-free access to the practice.

The practice had 3 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, 1 dental hygienist, the receptionists and the practice manager. We also spoke with the UK operations manager for the dental group.

People's experience of this service

Two weeks before our visit, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We did not receive any direct patient feedback.

We reviewed online patient feedback. The majority of patients expressed high levels of satisfaction with the treatment they received. Comments included: ‘Welcoming and friendly staff’, ‘Great service’ and ‘Made to feel at ease’ and ‘Treatment explained’.

Some patients expressed dissatisfaction with the length of time for completion of treatment. Others were dissatisfied with the level of support they received during their treatment.

Staff demonstrated a commitment to acting on feedback.

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. Feedback was analysed and a summary of findings and actions were discussed at practice meetings to help improve outcomes for patients.
