At our last assessment we rated this key question good. At this assessment we hadn’t looked at enough quality statements to change the rating and therefore the rating has remained good. This meant people’s needs were met through good organisation and delivery.

Listening to and involving people

The provider did not always make it easy for people to share feedback and ideas, or raise complaints about their care, treatment and support. Staff did not always involve people in decisions about their care or tell them what had changed as a result. Complaints were recorded but the management team acknowledged work was required to further embed systems into practice. Signs were available around the homes regarding how to complain. Staff raised concerns with the management team about the lack of variety of food on offer and said sandwiches were provided every night for the teatime meal, which people did not want. Staff felt concerns they had raised with the management team on behalf of people, had not been listened to or acted upon.
