Our view of the service
Date of assessment 13 January to 17 January 2025. Tavistock Court is an Extra Care scheme with on-site care staff who provide support to people living in their own flats within one building. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive the regulated activity of personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this inspection 19 people were receiving support with personal care. We looked at 8 priority quality statements from the safe, responsive and caring key questions and found areas of good practice. The scores for these areas have been combined with scores based on the key question ratings from the last inspection. The assessment of these 7 quality statements indicated areas of good practice since the last inspection and our overall rating remains good. Staff and managers understood their duty to safeguard people from potential harm and people's risk of experiencing avoidable harm were reduced by the provider's risk assessments and risk management plans. People were respected and valued as individuals, were involved in their care, and asked for feedback regularly about their care. People experienced positive outcomes because staff often went over and above their roles to ensure people received the care and support they needed.
