This assessment was carried out on 3 and 4 December 2024. At the time of the assessment RCS Care Solutions Limited was providing support to 3 people. The service specialised in the care of people with a learning disability and autistic people. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. People and their representatives were involved in assessments and reviews of their needs. Care plans and assessments took account of people’s communication, personal and health needs. Care was based on latest evidence and good practice. Staff worked in partnership with people, their representatives and other professionals to encourage people to identify and achieve their goals. Staff worked with people’s representatives when people lacked the capacity to make specific decisions. This helped to make sure any decisions made were in their best interests. People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected their privacy and dignity. People were treated as individuals and encouraged to maintain relationships with friends and family. Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. Managers worked with people and other professionals to deliver the best possible care and were receptive to new ideas. There was a culture of continuous improvement with staff given time and resources to try new ideas.
