Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 50 service users at Chase House Limited.
1. By 27 January 2025, the registered provider must review all medicines prescribed on a ‘when required’ (PRN) basis and ensure PRN protocols are in place for each of these medicines.
2. By 17 January 2025, the registered provider must carry out a review of all medicines in the service, ensuring they are safe for use, including but not limited to, being in date and with correct directions for use clearly visible.
3. By 27 January 2025 the registered provider must carry out stock reconciliation of medicines to ensure records and stock are correct. Any discrepancies to be investigated with an action plan to identify reason for the discrepancy and clear actions to mitigate the risk of future errors.
4. By 01 February 2025 the registered provider must carry out a review of all internal fire doors and emergency escape doors in the service and develop a comprehensive improvement plan in relation to any deficiencies identified in the review. This plan must be sent to the Care Quality Commission by 14 February 2025 and must include timescales for actions to be completed and details of who will be responsible for implementing these actions.
5. The Registered Provider must ensure that all service user’s care records are reviewed immediately with a plan detailing the measures put in place to address any deficits and shortfalls identified, a copy of this review be sent to the Commission by 07 February 2025. The review must: identify any immediate risks associated with service user’s care needs and inform of actions the provider will take to mitigate these risks. These need to include risks in relation to pressure area care, seizure management, emergency rescue medicines, moving and handling needs and equipment, falls and any requirements in relation to input and output monitoring.
6. By 22 January 2025, the registered provider must ensure that all staff who deliver care have the training, skills, knowledge, and competency to understand service users’ moving and handling needs and apply this in practice.
7. By 25 January 2025, the registered provider must ensure that all staff have received training or refresher training in relation to safeguarding. This must include a competency assessment to ensure staff know how to raise safeguarding concerns internally and externally.
8. By 15 January 2025, the registered provider must review their systems to identify and report safeguarding concerns to ensure safeguarding concerns are always identified and reported to the local authority safeguarding team.
9. The Registered Provider must create a comprehensive service improvement plan to address the shortfalls in medicines management, safety of premises, care records, quality assurance and internal governance. This plan must be sent to the Care Quality Commission by 1 February 2025 and must include timescales for actions to be completed and details of who will be responsible for implementing these actions.
10. The registered provider must not admit any service user to¿Chase House Limited without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes service users who require respite care. The term “admit” includes re-admission of any service user.
