We found this practice was providing well led care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance. The provider had made improvements in relation to the regulatory breach we found at our inspection on 16 July 2024.

At the assessment on 27 September 2024, we found the practice had made improvements to comply with the regulation. There were improvements to ensure the processes to assess, monitor and mitigate the risks relating to the health, safety and welfare of service users and others who may be at risk were effective. The service had implemented robust processes to ensure that servicing of the fire safety equipment and x-ray units were completed on time. Systems had been developed to effectively monitor and track expiry dates of dental materials and emergency equipment and medicines. There was improved oversight to ensure the decontamination of dental instruments was in line with recognised guidance. In addition, the practice was in the process of recruiting more dental nurses and had appointed an assistant practice manager to support the existing practice manager with ongoing improvements. The practice’s governance and leadership arrangements had improved to ensure sustainability in the longer term.
