Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must only Accommodate a maximum of 60 service users at Aden House Care Home.
The registered provider must:
a. Provide the Care Quality Commission, on the last day of the first full month after this condition takes effect, with a document setting out a 6-month plan to improve its person centred offering for service users. The plan should include which service users’ rooms are expected to be reviewed during each month, and the arrangements for person-centred adjustments, where appropriate, thereafter.
b. Provide the Care Quality Commission, on the last day of each month, commencing on the last day of the first full month from the date on which this condition takes effect, a report summarising:
i) The audits that have been carried out in that month, the actions undertaken arising from the findings of those audits, and any changes to the governance arrangements for Aden House that have been implemented as a result of those audits;
ii) The actions undertaken during that month pursuant to the plan required by condition 3(a), provided that the plan has been drafted and submitted in line with that condition at the time of preparing the report.
c. This condition shall cease to have effect on the date that is 6 months from the date on which the plan provided for by condition 3(a) is provided.
In relation to service user admissions:
a. For a period of 3 months from the date on which this condition takes effect, the registered provider must not admit more than 1 new service user to Aden House in each period of two calendar weeks. This does not include service users re-admitted to the service;
b. Following the expiry of the 3-month period in condition 4(a), the registered provider must update the Care Quality Commission on its current and planned arrangements for staffing given any increase there has been by that time, and any expected increase to come, in service user numbers;
c. Following the expiry of the 3-month period in condition 4(a), the registered provider must not admit more than 1 new service user per calendar week to Aden House;
d. This condition shall cease to have effect on the date which is 5 months after the date on which it comes into effect.
