During a routine inspection
Another service user told us that "Its not bad here, nothing else better." He told us that he felt comfortable there with his own possessions and did not want to move. We noticed that there were extra heaters in the room and people that we spoke to said "It gets a bit draughty sometimes, so the staff give us the extra heaters and that helps". Staff we spoke with told us that the home was due to relocate to better premises in the near future and that all the people using the service had been to visit the new facility. This was confirmed by all four people we interviewed, who were happy to move to the new premises.
Peoples individual needs were met through an assessment and an agreed plan of care and support. Arrangements were in place to ensure the safety of vulnerable people.
The service collected the views of people who used the service and ensured that action was taken where improvements were needed.
