Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 26 November to 4 December 2024. This service registered with us on 29 December 2022 and this was their first assessment. Freedom Care 24/7 Ltd is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of our assessment there were 7 people using the service. Freedom Care 24/7 Ltd operates under the wider franchise group of Sylvian Care. We assessed all quality statements across the 5 key questions. People received person-centred care that met their needs. The service had a good learning culture and people, and their relatives, were encouraged to speak up and share their views and experiences with staff. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks to people’s safety. People’s care records contained detailed information about their needs and how to keep them safe. People were involved in assessments of their needs. Staff reviewed assessments taking account of people’s communication, health and support needs. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience to undertake their duties. People received care at times that were convenient to them. People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff treated them as individuals and supported their preferences. There was a comprehensive governance system in place to review and improve the quality of care provision. Staff and leaders were committed to continuous improvement and took pride in their work.

People were happy with the care and support they received from Freedom Care 24/7 Ltd. People and relatives told us, “This care service is different. This is the only one we’ve had where we have the same care workers, and this is really important to us,” “Freedom Care have been absolutely amazing,” “It’s really helped me having Freedom Care there to look after [my family member]. I feel she is really well cared for by them,” “It’s very good. We feel very rest assured with the care we get from Freedom care. It’s quite seamless.” People were supported by staff who were trained and knowledgeable. People received care from consistent care workers who knew them well. They treated people well and respected their individual differences. They were kind, caring and compassionate.
