During a routine inspection
People's care and support was planned and delivered in line with their individual plan. People were supported in promoting their independence and community involvement. Most people we met during our visit told us or indicated, that getting out and about was important to them.
There were effective recruitment and selection processes in place. Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work. People we met during our visits were supported by regular support workers who knew them well and understood their support needs. We saw frequent and friendly interactions between people using the service and their support workers.
People who used the Woodbury Short Term Residential Care facility or their relatives were able to give feedback after each visit. We saw recent comments which included, '[my relative] thoroughly enjoyed their short stay and the Christmas Party. When I informed [the person] they were going to Woodbury, they appeared pleased, plus pleased to have the same room. Given they suffer from dementia this proved invaluable' and 'reassured that staff rang us over concerns about [relatives] health' and 'wow, what a fab weekend [my relative] had. Thank you'.
