Our view of the service
We had previously undertaken a comprehensive inspection under our previous methodology of Hadlow Dental Practice on 16 November 2023 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We found the registered provider was not providing safe and well-led care and was in breach of regulations 12. Safe care and treatment. And 17. Good governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We undertook a follow up focused assessment on 21 May 2024. This assessment was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to confirm that the practice was now meeting legal requirements. We found the practice had met the regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. At the time of our assessment, we found that patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in Tonbridge, Kent and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 3 dentists, 3 registered dental nurses, a dental hygienist, and a practice manager. The practice had 2 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with a dentist, a dental nurse, and the practice manager.
