During an assessment under our new approach
We found the practice had met regulations.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Infection control procedures were in place. Minor improvements should be made to ensure these are consistently followed.
The practice had systems to manage risks. However, improvements were needed to the oversight of medical emergency equipment, systems to receive and respond to patient safety alerts, and the management of Legionella.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Improvements should be made to ensure complete and detailed records are maintained for all staff and clinical staff have immunity to vaccine preventable infectious diseases.
There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
The practice is in Leeds and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice.
The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of assessment there were 9 members of staff. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 1 trainee dental nurse, the receptionist and the practice manager.
