Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide the regulated activity of personal care to any new service users under the location registration Lifeways Community Care Limited (Leicestershire County) without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality
Commission.
The registered provider must, with immediate effect, carry out a risk assessment for all service users with identified health conditions or interventions, including but not exclusively catheter care, enteral feeding tube (PEG), stoma management, diabetes and administration of midazolam buccal. This must include clinical expertise and input. This should be developed into a care plan which gives staff providing care clear instructions including how and when to obtain further clinical advice and support.
The registered provider must ensure all care staff and managers are trained in providing support to service users who have health conditions or interventions, including but not exclusively, catheter care, enteral feeding tube (PEG), stoma management, diabetes and administration of midazolam buccal by 30 April 2025.
The registered provider must ensure all care staff and managers are trained in moving service users safely, medicines management, and learning disabilities, autism and mental health by 31 May 2025.
The registered provider must ensure service users who require support have a positive behaviour support plan in place which includes functional analysis of the distressed behaviour and links to activities and medicines support, by 30 April 2025.
The registered provider must with immediate effect ensure staff deployment is aligned to service users
assessed care needs and is reviewed against any records of distressed or injurious behaviours.
The registered provider must provide evidence to the Care Quality Commission through an improvement
plan, by 30 April 2025, of the processes they will use to assure themselves of the competence of staff to support health conditions and interventions, move service users safely, support behaviour through positive interventions, and demonstrate a good understanding of learning disabilities, autism and mental health support requirements. They must then provide evidence of the assessed competencies in these areas by 31 May 2025.
The registered provider must provide an improvement plan to the Care Quality Commission by 30 April 2025 of how they intend to undertake a review and update to ensure all care plans and records reflect service user’s current needs.
The registered provider must provide evidence to the Care Quality Commission by 30 April 2025 as to how they will maintain effective oversight of accidents and incidents and how these measures will ensure preventative and timely action is taken for future incidents and accidents.
