During a routine inspection
People told us they were satisfied with the service. One person said " I'm very satisfied. They explain everything very simply. The dentist is calming and gentle." Another person we spoke with told us " I'm always pleased with every aspect. No complaints."
People told us they had no difficulty getting an appointment. They said they were informed of their dental plan and had the opportunity to see their dental X-rays.
We observed the practice was clean and tidy. People we spoke with were satisfied with the cleanliness of the service. We saw all other aspects of decontamination procedures were in line with Department of Health 'Health Technical Memorandum 01-05: decontamination in primary care dental practices' (HTM01-05) guidance or manufacturers guidelines.
Staff told us they worked well as a team and had an informal but effective approach to supporting each other. Clinical staff attended regular training. The provider did not undertake formal performance review.
The provider had systems to monitor the quality of the service. This included procedures for monitoring complaints, accidents and incidents. The provider undertook regular risk assessment and audit.
