During an assessment under our new approach
We found the practice had not met all regulations.
The practice had systems to manage risks however, they were not always followed.
The practice’s safeguarding processes were not always effective and required improvements to ensure ongoing monitoring of children and vulnerable adults who were not brought to appointments.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance, and infection control procedures were in place.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
The practice is in Little Hulton, City of Salford and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
Due to the nature of the building, the practice was not wheelchair accessible.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms. The total number of staff was 7. During the assessment we spoke with 2 dentists, 2 dental nurses and the practice manager.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
