Updated 25 November 2024
We had previously undertaken a comprehensive assessment of Bridge Dental Practice on 14 October 2024 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of regulation 17(1) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We undertook a follow up off site assessment on 8 January 2025. This assessment was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to confirm that the practice was now meeting legal requirements. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, we found that patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. This service is registered with CQC under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 in respect of some, but not all, of the services it provides. There are some exemptions from regulation by CQC which relate to particular types of regulated activities and services and these are set out in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. The service provides non-surgical cosmetic treatments, some of which are not in-scope such as certain facial aesthetics procedures. The practice is in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. During the assessment we spoke with the practice manager.
