Carnaby Street Dental Practice

During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced assessment on 17 December 2024. We found the practice had met all regulations. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place. The practice had systems to manage risks. The practice is in Westminster and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children. Car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice. The practice had 2 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 2 dentists, 1 dental nurse,1 dental hygienist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.

During a routine inspection

People who use services felt that staff are doing their best to protect their privacy and always treat them with respect. Most people we spoke with felt that staff listened to them and offered them choices about their care and treatment as far as possible.

People we spoke with felt involved in their care and said that staff were friendly and helpful. We saw good interactions between people that use the service and staff.
