During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 3 June 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in the London Borough of Ealing and provides private and NHS dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included a principal dentist, a dental nurse and a receptionist. The practice had 1 treatment room. During the assessment we spoke with the principal dentist, the receptionist and the dental nurse.

During a routine inspection

During the inspection we spoke with four people using the service, the dentist and the receptionist. People told us they were very happy with the care and treatment that they received. Comments from people we spoke with included 'he explains everything that he needs to explain', 'efficient and approachable' and 'every step he takes, he tells you, he is very good'.

People's needs were assessed and they were involved in making decisions about their treatment. People told us the practice was clean and that staff wore protective equipment. Systems were in place to assess the risks and to manage, prevent and control the spread of infection

A complaints system was in place and all the people we spoke with said they would speak with the dentist if they had any complaints or concerns.
