Our view of the service

We carried out this announced on-site assessment on 20 March 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations. Infection control procedures in place were effective.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation however they weren’t always followed.

There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.

The practice is in Sale, Greater Manchester and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice.

The practice had 4 treatment rooms. The total number of staff was 18. During the assessment we spoke with 3 dentists, 3 dental nurses and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our assessment.

People's experience of this service

Prior to our on-site assessment, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 8 patients. On the day of our assessment, we saw patient feedback from a further 100 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Comments included, “I've had a great experience with this practice. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and which makes every visit much easier. They always do their best to help. The care and attention to detail are excellent. They explain everything clearly, make sure you're comfortable and provide top quality treatment”, “I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel incredibly welcome and at ease. The clinic itself is spotless, modern, and has a relaxing atmosphere, which immediately put me at ease”, “Amazing dentists can't fault them. So lovely and caring and just wonderful” and “Throughout my visits, I have consistently experienced a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, coupled with a high level of professionalism from both the staff and dentists. The team ensures that all procedures are clearly explained, presenting multiple options before proceeding, which fosters a sense of trust and transparency”.

Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed.

Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.
