Bspoke Social Care is a domiciliary care agency providing care and support to older people and younger adults in their own homes. Not everyone using the service received a regulated activity. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care'; help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our inspection 21 people were being supported with personal care.
At our last inspection the service was in breach of legal regulation in relation to good governance. We found improvements had now been made and the service was no longer in breach of regulations.
The service learnt from and acted upon accidents and incidents. The service ensured a safe transition of care by working closely with other professional’s, people and their families.
Staff received and were up to date with the training they needed to support people.
The service ensured that people had initial assessments to support the development of personalised care plans and received regular reviews of their care. Staff followed infection control principals. The service referred people to other health and social care agencies when people needed additional support such as with equipment in their own homes.
Staff supported people to understand and mitigate risks.
The service delivered evidenced based care by using nationally recognised tools.
Staff made sure to gain consent prior to delivering personal care.
