We carried out this announced on-site assessment on 26 March 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
The practice is in Hereford and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice was on the first floor of the building; therefore, access was restricted for patients with some disabilities or mobility issues. Staff referred these patients to accessible practices in the area.
The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our assessment, there was a total of 17 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, (including 1 visiting dentist), 4 dental nurses (of which 1 was also the practice manager), 1 dental hygienist, 2 receptionists and 1 treatment co-ordinator. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our assessment, including 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses, receptionists and the practice manager.
