During a routine inspection
The files we looked at contained care plans that were personalised and included people's preferences. We found that staff were not recording sufficient information to show they had completed everything required in the care plan. Although people said staff checked their pressure areas there was no record to show that this was happening.
People told us care staff stayed long enough to do everything they needed and that staff took their time and did not rush. People said that care staff did things in the way they preferred and respected their opinions. One person told us, 'It depends how I feel when they arrive as to what they do for me. If I'm up for a shower they do this if not I have a strip wash.' People said care staff arrived about the same time each day and stayed long enough to do all the things they needed to. Staff knew what they should do to keep people safe.
Records showed the agency had systems in place to monitor the care provided and for managing identified risks. People said that they were happy with the care they received. One person told us 'It's a brilliant service, I couldn't ask for better.'
