Our view of the service

Ultrasound Diagnostic Services offers a range of ultrasound scans to adults, including scans at various stages during pregnancy, fetal echocardiography, lower abdominal and pelvic scans and ovarian cancer screening. The service had three diagnostic imaging rooms.

We undertook this unannounced focused assessment of Ultrasound Diagnostic Services on 23 January 2025 to assess if improvements had been made since our last inspection in September 2021. At our inspection in September 2021, we asked the provider to make improvements in the area of safe and well led.

This assessment looked at quality statements in the Safe and Well Led domains for the provider’s diagnostic service. We found that some improvements had been made since our last inspection but there was still a breach of regulation and areas of improvement required. Areas for improvement related to the maintenance of equipment and the environment.
