Everliving Services - Peterborough and Cambs is a supported living service and domiciliary care agency providing personal care to 3 people at the time of the assessment.

Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is where people require help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

Assessment activity started on 15 August 2024 and ended on 05 March 2025. We visited 2 people in their own homes, spoke with relatives and met with managers and staff.

Staff knew people well and understood their care and support needs, as well as their history and what was important to them. Staff understood the importance of giving people choice and enabling people to be as independent as possible. Staff enjoyed working at this service and felt supported by the management structure in place. Staff felt at ease to report concerns or make suggestions and felt their feedback would be acted upon.

The registered manager was passionate about delivering a good service for people. They were open and honest when something had not gone well and ensured that both they and the staff team reflected on any learning from it. Governance processes to assess and check the quality and safety of the service were completed. The manager and senior staff carried out audits, which meant they identified areas of the service that required improvement and made those improvements in a timely way. We identified some shortfalls which the providers governance had not found, however before the assessment was completed these had been actioned, and new processes implemented to mitigate this from occurring again.

People's experience of the service

Updated 8 May 2024

We were not able to communicate with everybody using the service, due to their personal choice. However, we spent time with people in their own homes and observed their interactions with staff. People were relaxed and happy to be around the staff who supported them. They trusted the staff and looked to them for guidance and support when they needed it. They were happy to show us their homes, favourite items, and activities. Staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about the people they supported. Relatives mostly spoke positively about the service. They felt that their family member was safe and supported well by staff.
