We carried out this announced on-site assessment on 4 April 2025.
We found the practice had not met all regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had some systems to identify and manage risks. We identified shortfalls in the oversight of manging risks associated with medical emergencies, radiation equipment servicing, control of substances hazardous to health, fire safety and prescription monitoring.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
The practice is in Wolverhampton and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our assessment, there was a total of 14 staff of which there were 3 dentists, 7 dental nurses (including 2 trainee dental nurses), 2 dental therapists, 1 dental hygienist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our assessment, including 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses and the practice manager.
The service provides cosmetic treatments, some of which are not in scope of CQC regulation and are not covered in our assessment.

We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
