Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.

The practice had installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) to improve security for patients and staff. Siting of CCTV cameras was appropriate and relevant signage was displayed. The practice had information governance arrangements and staff were aware of the importance of protecting patients’ personal information. Staff password protected patients’ electronic care records were stored securely and complied with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Improvements were needed to ensure records were stored appropriately. These included records associated with staff recruitment and patient complaints. We have since received photographic evidence to confirm this shortfall has been addressed. We saw the general environment layout helped to protect patients’ privacy and dignity. Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
