Good

Updated 9 December 2024

Date of assessment: 12 December 2024. Reva Healthcare is a domiciliary care agency that provides personal care for adults living in their own home. At the time of our assessment, the service supported one person. At the time of the assessment, the service was not used by anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group. The provider demonstrated they were meeting the principles of right support, right care, right culture.

The rating at the last assessment was ‘Requires Improvement’ (published 05 July 2019). At that inspection, we identified breaches of regulations in the categories of safe, responsive, and well-led. At this assessment, we found the service had made improvements and was no longer in breach of any regulations. Therefore, the rating for this service has changed to good.

The service provided safe, inclusive, and person-centred care, with clear improvements. Strong safeguarding policies and regular reviews protected people from harm. Risks were well-managed through personalised plans like Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs). Staff regularly updated care plans and risk assessments to meet changing needs, with no safeguarding concerns reported in the last 12 months.

The service maintained sufficient staffing, with better hiring, training, and supervision ensuring a skilled team. Care plans were personalised, reflecting the person’s preferences, culture, and goals. Communication met the Accessible Information Standard (AIS), respecting individual needs. Governance improved through regular checks to identify and resolve issues. Overall, the service prioritised safety, respect, and high standards through clear processes and ongoing improvements.

Staff received training, were punctual, and maintained effective communication, ensuring that care was delivered with kindness, respect, and cultural sensitivity. A relative expressed satisfaction, saying, “Absolutely yes, 100%,” when asked if care workers were kind and caring, and stated, “The carer that comes is trained and professional.
