Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not accept new packages of care for service users without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes any respite care packages, existing service users who are discharged from hospital and return home or any re-start of care packages seeking to return to the registered provider.
The registered provider must ensure that all service users’ care needs [including needs relating to medicines, mobility, risk of falls, diabetes, distressed behaviours and safeguarding, personal care, skin care, decisions and capacity, including finance, are reviewed and risk assessed. A report demonstrating what actions you have taken to ensure service users’ needs can be met along with accurate and up-to-date care plans, risk assessments and completed care records must be submitted to the Commission within three working days of the date of this notice, for all service users.
The registered provider must ensure they have reviewed the training needs qualifications and competency of all staff, including agency staff [including but not limited to the accurate completion of care logs, MAR charts, diabetes management, supporting service users with a learning disability, supporting service users with distressed behaviours, moving and handling, mobility and falls, infection control and the Mental Capacity Act] within 5 working days. You must demonstrate what actions you have taken to ensure staff have the correct skills and competency required. You must supply evidence of this to the Commission by 4pm on 14 October 2024.
The registered provider must ensure effective quality assurance processes are established and implemented to improve the way you assess, monitor and improve the quality of the service and protect service users from the risk of harm. Evidence of your quality assurance framework must be submitted to the Commission within five working days of the date of this notice. Thereafter, the registered provider must send a report to the Commission on the first day of each month with details of completed quality monitoring audits and checks. This must include areas covered, shortfalls identified at the service, your findings, and any responsive actions, clearly identifying who is responsible and the timescales for this.
