During an assessment under our new approach
We found the practice had met regulations.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance, and infection control procedures were in place.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Governance procedures were in place and embedded. We found some areas where this could be strengthened and shared this feedback with the provider on the assessment day. Some improvements were required to ensure the practice's risk management systems for monitoring and mitigating the various risks arising from the carrying on of the regulated activities were robust.
Hayes Dental Practice is in Hayes, in the London Borough of Hillingdon and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice had 5 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with the 2 principal dentists, 3 trainee dental nurses and 1 qualified dental nurse, 1 dental therapist, and the receptionist.
