Date of assessment 14th October to 04th December 2024.
Bramshott Grange is a nursing home providing personal care and accommodation to up to 67 people. At the time of our assessment 64 people were living at the service. We undertook this responsive assessment following information of concern we received about the service. We assessed a total of 10 quality statements across the safe, caring and well-led key questions and have combined the scores for these areas with scores from the last inspection. At this assessment we found the provider was in breach of 1 regulation and had failed to demonstrate they always operated good governance. We found shortfalls in the providers medicines governance systems, examples where people’s care and medicine’s records were not always accurate, detailed or complete, processes for staff training oversight were not robust, and the providers auditing systems did not ensure they always shared relevant legally required information with CQC. During the assessment we received assurances from the leadership team that they were taking steps to address the shortfalls we identified. Where we identified a breach of regulation, we have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment. Staff we spoke with told us they felt supported in their role and felt able to approach leaders of the service for support. Leaders were visible and passionate about the quality of care provided to people and adopted proactive approaches to learning and improvement.
