Our view of the service
This service is a domiciliary care agency. It provides personal care to people living in their own houses and flats. At the time of our assessment, 19 people were using the service. Most people using the service were older adults. Date of assessment: 29 January – 5 February 2025. We carried out this assessment based on the date of our last rating. The last rating for this service was good (published 25 October 2019). The service remains good. People received safe care. Risks had been assessed and planned for. People received their medicines safely and as prescribed. There were enough staff and people were cared for by the same familiar staff, who knew them well. People’s needs had been assessed and they were able to make choices about their care. People were treated with kindness and respect. People were supported to learn skills and maintain independence. Staff felt well supported and had opportunities to learn about best practice. There were effective systems for monitoring and improving the quality of the service.
People's experience of this service
People using the service and their relatives had a good experience. Their needs were met, and they were able to make choices about their care and support. People liked the staff and felt well supported by the managers. Comments from people and their relatives included, “They are an excellent company. They are well-led by a wonderful manager. I would highly recommend them’’, “I am so happy with the care, and they are very good’’, “They are so kind and cheery; I look forward to seeing them’’ and “Nothing is too much trouble for them.” External professionals who worked with the agency also gave positive feedback. They told us the agency was proactive in seeking support when needed and advocated for people using the service.
