It was clear from talking with staff that they cared for the people they supported and knew people well. One staff member told us, “They [managers] are very supportive of residents and they are very engaging and there is just lots of love here and more like a big family and it is transformed for the good since [Registered managers name] took it on.” Staff gave us examples that described how much they cared for people. For example, one staff member told us about taking a person shopping and for a coffee as they had built up a good rapport with them and knew they liked to go out. Staff described how they would try to promote people’s independence and encourage them to do as much as they could for themselves.
