During a routine inspection

Look Ahead ' Southwark Bridge Road provided domiciliary care and support for more than thirty people with mental health needs. People we spoke with made positive comments about the service for example 'The service is fine' and that 'I have no suggestions and no complaints.' We saw that people were involved in the decision making regarding their care and support. People had personalised support plans and set their own goals.

Staff we spoke with were happy to work for the service and told us that 'There is a good team spirit' and 'We support each other.' We saw that they were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

We found that people's support was planned and delivered in a way that was intended and their well-being was monitored through regular contacts. People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse as there were procedures in place to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

We also found that there was a system in place to monitor the service to ensure people's welfare and that the quality of the service was adequate.
