Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. Comments also included; ‘The kids receive very good care whenever they come for their dental routine check, been with the surgery since 2018. I would highly recommend them. Excellent care all round’. ‘ Very professional, always make you feel comfortable, my children actually get excited when it's check-up time’, and ‘Treated me with compassion, acknowledged my anxiety with dentists and is very gentle’. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff. Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
