Our view of the service

Date of assessment 01 May to 14 May 2024 We carried out this assessment in response to indications of risk, including the time since the last inspection. We found that the service was keeping people safe and were proactive in involving people in managing risks relating to their own care. Positive risk-taking was promoted which contributed to people regaining skills and independence with measured and least restrictive support in place. People were happy with their care and staff felt supported in their roles. Changes to the staff structure had resulted in a slight impact to some processes as the new team became established and embedded. The service had a clear vision and plan for improvements and demonstrated an enthusiasm to learn.

People's experience of this service

People told us they felt as though staff knew them well, they felt safe and confident staff were skilled in their roles. People felt the service was clean and that they were involved in the way the service was run. People could not recall being involved in an initial assessment when moving in but felt the service had got to know them and their changing needs.
