This service is a domiciliary care agency. It provides personal care to people living in their own houses and flats. At the time of our assessment, 1 older person was using the service.
Date of assessment: 3 March 2025 to 4 March 2025.
This was the first assessment of the service since they were registered with CQC on 26 October 2018.
People received safe care and treatment. Their needs were assessed and planned for. Staff had training to understand how to meet people’ needs. There were generally effective systems of governance, and the registered manager had good oversight of the service. We identified that some records needed to be improved, this included assessments of safe environments, records about healthcare needs and records relating to some staff recruitment. We found that systems to audit these records had not always identified improvements were needed. We discussed these areas with the registered manager who explained they would put in place the necessary records and review the system of audits to make sure they were more robust. We did not find a negative impact on people’s care and people were receiving good quality person-centred care which allowed them to make choices and be independent when they were able. The provider sought the views of stakeholders to monitor and improve the service.
We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. At the time of our assessment, the provider did not support anyone with a learning disability.
