Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

On the day of assessment, we received written feedback from 7 patients and 1 patient submitted feedback directly to the Care Quality Commission. All feedback was wholly positive and patients told us that everyone was friendly and helpful. Patients’ comments included; ‘As an autistic person I normally can't even sit in a dentist chair. Here I am able to get braces on without anxiety beforehand. I couldn't have had a better experience’. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. We reviewed a range of comments received from the practice Friends and Family feedback report 2023 to 2024. Patients’ comments included; ‘Punctual, friendly, expert service’, ‘Emergency visit, we were accommodated immediately, and everyone was so lovely and caring’, ‘always prompt with appointments, so friendly and helpful’ and ‘very thorough, full explanation given and staff very friendly and reassuring’.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.
