Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 4 December 2024. The service supports patients in the following specialist areas: men’s health, women’s health, paediatrics, joints and injuries, sexual health, minor surgery including cyst, wart and lipoma removal, mental health and nutrition. My Specialist GP also offers a range of services which are outside of scope of the regulated activities therefore, we did not inspect or report on these. We carried out this assessment to follow up on a breach of regulation identified at our previous inspection in June 2023. Whilst the last inspection rated the service as ‘Good’ overall, the safe key question was rated ‘Requires Improvement’. We assessed all 8 quality statements across the safe key question. The rating for the safe key question has improved to ‘Good’. We found improvements had been made in relation to prescribing practices and information sharing with NHS GPs to ensure continued safe prescribing for patients. We found that systems for prescribing medicines that required monitoring were effective.
People's experience of this service
The provider encouraged patients to provide formal feedback. The yearly patient survey results indicated that the overall patient experience of the service was positive. We noted patients provided feedback on areas that included access, service website, referrals and the clinical care received from the GPs at the service. No patients contacted us to raise any concernsG
