Umika Lodge Care Home

Umika Lodge Care Home is a residential care home providing accommodation with personal care for up to 29 people. The service provides care to older people. We carried out our on-site assessment on 2 December 2024. At the time of our inspection 27 people were being supported with personal care at the service. This was a responsive and unannounced assessment. We looked at quality statements relating to areas in Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating.

People and their relatives told us they felt safe in the home and with staff. Families told us staff were kind, and some said, “Staff can not do enough for visitors and people.” People were treated with kindness, compassion and dignity and were treated as individuals, their diverse needs were respected.
